The Musicke Companye was formed in London in 1991 by four young musicians eager to explore the world of baroque vocal chamber music. Since then, the ensamble has been in increasing demand perfoming for major festivals and music societies throughout Britain and also in Barcelona.

In 1993 the Music Companye was a finalist in the fifth international early Music network Young Artists' Competition which was held in London and broadcast on BBC radio 3. The ensemble was the only early music group to be featured in the 1993 BBC Radio 3 series Young Artists' Forum broadcast from the National Portrait Galery, London. The performance was rebroadcast in 1995 as a highlight from the series. Other radio broadcasts include twice appairing live on Classic FM.

In the 1996/1997 season, the Music company toured throughout the U.K. as part of the National Federation of Music Societies Concert Promoter's Network appearing in arts centres, town halls, churches and schools and receving unanimously exelent reviews.
